Bike & Build

Bike & Build is an organization that organizes cycling trips across the country each summer for young adults to raise awareness and funds for affordable housing. I am biking across the country with Bike & Build in the summer of 2015 on the South Carolina to Santa Cruz route (SC2SC). This is my blog about training, fundraising, and learning, as well as the ride.

Poster Painting

I painted this for the center of the poster that Benji and I are sending out to donors.

South Carolina Painting

Thank you to Mindy for adopting my ride through South Carolina. I'm still working on paintings for Georgia, Alabama, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Where is Helen?

August 15 - Santa Cruz, California

August 15 - Santa Cruz, CA

Total miles: 4233 (or something close to that)

Between the building and the biking, my personal journal is not as up-to-date as I had hoped. Now that the ride has ended, I might fill in details and pictures. The team kept a group blog with pictures. Find it at SC2SC 2015.

The team has been experiencing Utah’s beauty and hospitality.

On Wednesday July 22, as they were cleaning up, they saw a rainbow.

On Thursday July 23, Helen decided to replace her helmet. A team member had worked some “donation magic”, so the team was thankful for klean kanteen bottles.
